All animals are welcome at the Humane Society. However, because our supply exceeds the demand, we recommend you attempt to find a home among friends, relatives and acquaintances first. A "Free Pet to Good Home" ad is not a good idea, because you have no control over your pets quality of life after it leaves your home. We recommend that any pet that is given to a new home be spayed or neutered, so it does not contribute to the pet overpopulation.
If you find a stray, please call us immediately. There is a good chance someone is already looking for a lost pet. If you wish to keep it while the owner is found, that’s fine, or we’ll come pick it up.
